Description


Built in Maya 4.5. Actually this is my 1st architectural rendering made solely in Maya.

looks great, loads of detail in there, i aggree there is something about the lighting but its still a cool pic

Thanks for the comments, The lighting was done using 2 visible sources : one on the metal column and the one on the floor , To illuminte the picture on the wall I directed an invisible spot light onto it so maybe this is what makes you think it is wrong. BTW I dont know why the joist on the wall casts no shadow upon it...

Looks great! Lighting is one of the hardest parts to using Maya. Did you light link any of your lights? The light on the joist maybe doesn't have shadows turned on? I love the texturing on the metal. You could put a little glow or increase it. on the 2 light fixtures glass material just so that it looks like it is working. Over all I think it's pretty good.

Shayder, I did not link any light and I too am surprised to not see the shadow from that certain joist, actually I did play later with lighting and did have shadow - strange, regarding the glow - I did but later removed - it was too cliche - maybe I overdid it.
