It is that, but you've whipped it i'd say; beautiful light and stageing. Well done.

Hi Doofus, this pic took forever! and test rendering is a trial in patience that I would wish upon no one. Each rendering (in order to see the effect you MUST render at high quality - else the effect doesn't look any good!) took about an hour (at final quality) at 320 x 240 - you can JUST about see it LOL.. The actual setting took absolutely forever also. The only advice I can give is play with every volumetric light setting there is A LOT until you start to understand what each one does. Before I udertook this pic I just placed a square on a blank background with just one volumetric spotlight above it. I played and messed with everything imaginable Colour, light gels, every setting known to man :) Eventually I began to see what each of the settings actually did to the light itself. The scene above has 3 spotlights 1 ambient and a sunlight (if you look closely there is an anomily with the second spot from the right - it's falloff and angle is wrong it actually LOOKS like there are 2 suns hehe - but at 19 hours for the final render at 1124 x 768 I wasn't going to be that picky just to move it that little amount. The trick really is to work out how bright they need to be. I was CONSTANTLY yweaking how bright each one was... Hope this helps a little... Kutter

Kutter, Thanks for the tips. The idea of a simple object and then just trying the light setting all kinds of ways is one I shall be messing with for a while. The Light rays comming through like that are just spectacular. Gonna see what I can do. Thanks for shedding some "Light" on the subject. LOL....Doofus
