My name is Susan, I live in Sturgis, SD. My focus in digital art primarily centers around poser, bryce, photoshop, illustrator, and painter. I use both platforms. Though most my work is created on my PC. My main interest is in creating texture mats for poser. I love jewel bright colors, fairy tale or romantic themes. One of my proffessors told me that, I am a color expressionist. I express my feelings through color in my work.
BIO
In the late 80s I started writing a series of fantasy young adult novels and childrens books. The desire to illustrate them myself led me into school. I am back to working on my stories, and I plan to illustrate them using poser. I attended Black Hills State University, I have a Bachelors in fine art. While in school, I fell in love with the digital media. This pursuit took me to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where I got a degree in multimedia. By the way, I just did terrible in commercial art. All my projects were fantastic, romantic, of the imaginative sort, which is a no no. The other thing that did me in is my use of color. (sigh) I have no regrets, its just I learned I was not a duck I was a swan.
Recent 2007 on:
Due to personal matters I had left the Poser community for several years, and have returned this fall. I have a much better computer with a high end video card, and have returned to rendering though I have not posted in the gallery's here. Still catch up with V4, remembering what I have in my various runtime, and what goes to what figure lol :(.
I have a personal forum that is not part of the poser community, that I administrate as a group of us in the forum are working on a series of stories which we are going to self-publish. Im doing besides concept, writing, the actual artwork. The actual demands for the project have been driving my latest purchases.

I like the art-deco poster look of this picture. What [IMO] keeps it from being great is the abrupt cropping of the picture above the foreground model's chin.

Thankyou for the comment. I could zoom in closer, i was worried about her wings cutting off the background. I will try that. Thankyou. :)

maybe try pushing the scene back a tad? but other than that it looks really cute. that would look good in a picture frame or something to that effect.
