Dive! Dive!! Dive!!! I am convinced that You spend a great deal of You time ...on Your back... looking Sky ward! Ok....You Win :(
funkandjazz
I do indeed spend time on my back, Tedz, but I like to try a variety of positions. One must be flexible, after all. :)
Xabre
unbeliveable! nature is still better than any renderprog ;)
Masema
Awesome scope and scale to this one, as well as the colors and of course the sky...awesome indeed.
Sunster
Absolutely brilliant!! Love it! :)
PhrankPower
Almost doesn't look real. Like maybe 2 photos put together. Stunning.

I've always wanted to make a trip out west. I've got relatives in Prove I hardly ever see except at family reunions.
Niutek
OK, what kind of a secret deal do you have with the sky @funkandjazz? How do you get it to pose for you? The contrast of colors of rock and the sky is brilliant, too.

Phrankpower & Michelle: Just for the record, I have NEVER engaged in any such "trickery" with my images here. As stated before, my process is simple: I scan my 4x6 prints on a crappy 3 year old Canoscan flatbed, meticulously clone out the numerous bits of dust and scratches and debris, sharpen and adjust color and contrast, etc. in PS. That's it! Is my integrity really being questioned? :(

sincerely f&j- did you take your meds today?-here's a chill pill my friend- you're a hit dear man! the skies have been named after you! even Tedz admits defeat- "unreal" is only meant as flattery- happens to me all the time, just look what they've said about my "seasonal visitor"- we really enjoy seeing your work, you are supreme when it comes to shooting our national land & the heavens above- those known as "funkandjazz skies" :]

takes a deep breath... It is so easy for misunderstanding to occur on the net, is it not? So first: it seems I misinterpreted what Michelle and PP wrote, and if so, I apologize for any offense given -- none was intended. But please understand, Michelle. Your comment this morning said you agreed with PP who wrote that my photo "doesn't look real. Like maybe 2 photos put together." It is not the first time PP's comments on my work hinted at something fabricated. Can you not imagine that I would be disturbed by such a suggestion? Notice, Michelle, I did not accuse you of accusing me, I simply asked whether my integrity was being questioned... now you have answered. I accept that answer, and apologize again for the misunderstanding. As cooljoo1 would say: Peace :-)
Michelle A.
I was going to say the same thing as PhrankPower...you're skies always look almost to perfect! Polarizing filters work wonders!
Update: Excuse me, but who is questioning your integrity?....I was simply commenting on how perfect they look, a compliment really...I know for a fact you use a polarizing filter on your lens because you have stated so before on a previous image, nothing unusual, so do I!!... I'm confused as to how you could mistake my comment for anything other than the compliment it was meant to be? :~/ Now I'm insulted!
Update: No hard feelings! You know I have only the highest admiration and respect for you and your work. :~) hugz

I don't see what all the critisism above is about, Mr. funk and jazz. I believe this is one photo, and most excellent one at that. Perhaps the three year old crappy cannon scanner comment made by you though is a bit harsh, after all, I have one of those and think it is very cool for my purposes of whatever they may be, scans very well, esp. for the cost of 100 bucks I think it was back then(FB630U, maybe only two yrs, but I think it is three) I think the title is appropriate as well, because this does remind me of a submarine because the rock formation resembles one. In a more demented sense, this also reminds me of a particular level in an online game I used to play quite frequently called Unreal Tournament Gold, and the level was one designed by someone else, uploaded to server that I downloaded, ect., called "Yellow Submarine". This submarine was located in the center of a lake, and was the location of all the goodies(ammunition, best weapons, shields, ect.), so everyone would try to get there it seemed to take control of this position. Myself, I would normally get there whenever, and take over the postion, first or afterwords, and pretty much blow most of my opponets out of the water, even with the disadvantage of my slower ping rate on my dial up connection(it seemed to me anyways, at least on my better days I would usually kick butt in the yellow submarine level, and most other levels in that game too ;-) I have chosen not to play this game for now though, because of a few reasons, one of which is that I pirated that original Gold, and my copy of UT2000 tournament or whatever the new one is got a scratch on my install CD. I am also pretty busy doing art of non-violent type of activity, and such video games seem to counteract my well being of a peaceful existence? Anyways, I thought I would share that with you, and this is a great photograph, with or without polarization filters attached to the lens. Thanks for my referal of comment up there as well :-) -Peace/Love :-)
