Note: to take this shot I've used the Dimage7 directly in B/W mode. It seems to work well!

I agree it works well and looks good. Now take it in color and convert it and see if you notice a difference in tonal range. I have tried and I am undecided...for now :)

I used my Dimage in B&W mode a couple of times...never could see a difference...plus I never know if I may want color images... So for me it is better to shoot in color and convert later.... But you did a great job here....yes! It looks wonderful!
