Here I am! Hi everybody :)
What about me...Well,I'd love to make my living a pleasant and fruitful experience:I have always liked to paint and make drawings, but I never went to any school.
I love to write, and I like to express my soul in as many ways as I can think of...I don't consider myself an artist, though:I just love art. For more about me, just click here and visit my site.BIOI was born in Firenze, 17th of April 1977.
I am fond of everything which celebrates life and humanity:from writing, to painting, to music till sports and nature, all that captures my attention becomes an interest of mine.
If I'd die tomorrow, I would feel my life has been a worthy one already, but for every day that passes, I feel always more curious about it.
To be an artist (although I don't consider myself so,) means to have a personal vision about all that happens, equally outside than inside. For me it means also to try to connect with other's spirits in unexpectable ways and have an endless will of knowledge, and endless will to discover and test yourself and everything else, without fears, but with all possible emotions in the quest, and from the quest.
The world around it's therefore the best inspiration, all that is into it can touch the inner chords of my soul, although I can't say which way till it doesn't happen. And everytime it happens, it's a reveal, a miracle, and the vibes are the best one can feel.
Then sometimes I watch the blue sky, and I give shape to my heart and mind, and I float around... and smile for my live is really like I want it to be.
I have temporarily suspended my career as University Researcher, testing myself as Administrative Manager right now, and I still asking myself if what I got finally was awareness or disillusion, but anyway, it's my attitude to never regret anything that I made consciously.Let's give life a new try.
I am very fond of Foreign Cultures, they enlarge also my artistical perceivement of life, and it's something I find absolutely enriching.
I have never learnt English, so forgive me if I am not good at speaking nor writing it.
I can speak and write in French, I can read Spanish, I know Ancient Latin and Greek.
And of course, I am Italian so, my Mother Tongue has got no mystery for me.
Hooray for Dante! ;)

Haaa, beautiful shot, Meli! those sheeps are strange to see, near Florence. The sky is almost a "funkandjazz". :-)

we were driving with my friend Monia to reach a BIG Market Mall (called "I Gigli) and for reachin it you have to cross the area -industrial- of Campi (which means aptly.. "Fields") and while waiting to the green light, from one side to the other of the street this sheperd passed... I was into the car.. but I had to take one picture ;)

I used to ride my motorcycle at Willow Springs, California and every spring the great sheepherds would be driven across the tiny road headed for the pastures of the Kern plateau in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. When I was at my uncles restored farm where he had kept sheep I walked up into the high pastures in New York where he mowed the hilltops still. This time I thought of the B-17's he had crewed on and the scattered contrails in a nearly clear blue sky. It seems to fit as your photo puts this all together in one place. The Council of Florence began a view of unction. To avoid graven comparison maybe the holy oil was lanolin and not olive oil.

An oportunity well taken, Meli! Looks like you have 'a nose for photography' as they say where I come from :))) Don't be surprised if you find yourself dragging your camera along with you everywhere you go one day! ;P
funkandjazz
Nice shot and story... and, as gab-mag noticed, a funkandjazz sky! Cool! :)

Quando anderai in Firenzi, voui tu venire pastoreare con me? Io voglio venir con te, pastorella. Staremo bene assiem. (Sorry any mistake with the italian).

My favourite aspect of this is the bright light, and also the composition works well, the land occupying the bottom quarter... the "rule of thirds" is there to be broken sometimes and it can still work :-)
This scene looks to be so deep into the countryside that it takes some believing that there was a road cutting a swathe through it... lovely shot :-)

Can't believe it was taken in the suburbs of Florence... wonderful picture with an old world feeling!... BTW nice to see you're back, hope you had some wonderful days and got your skin tanned ;o)

Such a warm picture. :) The pure nature/human working together...I love this kind of pictures :) Even though this one reminds me of Greece. Mostly cos all the holiday commercials we get from Greece have these kind of photos. ;) Great captured moment.. :)

This is an excellent photograph I think, taken with an older model camera. This goes to show one that it is the eye behind the camera, not the camera itself. Depending on the situation, one can take advantage if one knows the ins and outs of photography.(I read this in a Photographic Magazine article by a famous photographer, or something similar, but same meaning pretty much ;-), I like the capture of the moment, and the subject matter is interesting, and cool. The positiononing of the sun and your angle of photo capture reveals a little past mid day mood as seen in the light and shadows of various degrees of color, contrast. The comments above are almost as fascinating as what you have titled this one, "Bucholic". I find no reference to this in my Random House Dictionary. Closest I came up with is "Bucharest", capital of Romania, and James Buchanan, Pres. #15 of USA 1791-1868(1857-61'). Then to see comments like that of reference to oil of sheep, and "funk and jazz sky", hmmmmm. Most fascinating points of views we all seem to have. This is what makes art cool, the different perceptions we all have and share with one another :-) Good to see you back, hope your vacation was a most cool one, and that you had great time. :-) -Peace/Love :-)

Looks like this picture could be in an old National Geographic magazine circa 1965. Cheers. :)

Welcome back Angel Girl :D huge hugs I agree with Redundantly, as soon as I looked like a National Geographic shot out of one of dad's old magazines. Thank you so much for sharing this one :D

as one sheep said said to the other: "beeeeeh". probably they disagreed about international discenrities... how sheepish. This reminds me of one of my vacations in Italy... reminiscing again...

Never thought I'd find the bottom of this list. Yes, so many of us have forgotten the feel of the earth beneath our feet. Can't beat the old manual camera's for the image you've produced here. Great shot!

There is something very wonderful about a place in this world where sheep can be seen being herded in the suburbs of Florence. It must be a wonderful place to live. I think that for photography to be good, it has to go beyond technique. It has to tell a story or create a longing. You have achieved all of this here. Excellent work Meli!

Just goes to show'ya that...no matter how advance we think we are, or how far technoloy has progressed, the old ways always seem to be there to remind us of how it used to be. And talk about old cameras, I have a PENTAX ME F 35mm that I bought new in the 80's and I still use it today. Me and a friend used to take whole days to drive around the countryside taking photos that we would use as reference in our paintings and drawings. I must have run 100's of rolls of film through this camera and it still produces quality photos. Your photo os very nice and I love the sxspance of sky and the colors. Nice work.

What gorgeous colors!... Excellent work.
