Here's My 2nd attemption Working with Vue. Only the Barrel was Done in MAX3.1. I like the Prog it produces good Pictures only the Renderengine is Aaaaaawfully slow.

Personal Note! The Line on the Top of The Barrel is a sharp bend but bad to see out of this Angle and the Line near the watersurface is a dent in the Barrel! I have to turn it a little bit ;-)

It looks good thor. Nice concept! Your distant hills are very unusual, in my own mind the texture of them reduces the realism of the image. Having said that however, it is very good. Regarding your render times, rendering to disk cuts down on the time it takes to render...and playing with your rendering options also allows you to choose which elements your render will have and the quantity of the elements you have chosen, eg. motion blur, transparencies etc.
