Description

Hardly any modeling here, but a great deal of time spent on texturing this diamond. I was pretty happy with the results except for one thing.
The shadow should be much lighter since light would be shining through the diamond. I tried using caustics but it only worked if there was a dark shadow or if the light was extremely bright.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

did you set the refraction? looks like there's no refraction on the gem... the index is 2.417 or so. I don't texture my gems except for Poser 4 (as it can't do procedurals) Might want to check out my gallery for how it looks when you just make a procedural shader... I don't know jack about Lightwave but I would imagine many things would be similar :)
