Actually, if you're working on persective, it's good to leave the ground texture tiled; you can see the "disappearing point" in the background.

Thanks for your comments, they are all appreciated..Djester I am aware of that fact but I wanted to do it the difficult way so that you can see both vertical and horizontal rows. as seen in a field after a crop has been harvested..
