Description

Hi everyone. I did this one after reading a thread in the Bryce Forum about higher end apps and us poor Brycers :) I took a reference pic and re-created it in Bryce (Bryce only). Some info/details: I took the occasion to experiment some and to illuminate the image I used 92 ranged spotlights of various intensity scattered in critical places. Rendered at 1100x880 with Premium FX SoftShadows at 64RPP, rendertime 6 hours. I described the proceedings step by step in this article: if you want to take a look, you're welcome. This time, no postwork at all apart from signature. And a big, big thank to tresamie for the permission to use her beautiful fractal, Hesitation; and to tuttle for his tip about ranged spotlights: I saved a big chunk of rendertime :) May Your Renders Be Short, Stefano

This turned out as stunning as I thought it would! I like that you did it with the horizontal format, it brings you in closer and feels more personal. This truly looks like a photograph in a "Homes Beautiful" magazine.

Great interior pic. The textures are done really well. The wood floor and rug are stunning in their effect. I enjoy this one.

Buon weekend ;o)) - Carlo

I thought of that specific thread in the Bryce Forum as soon as I saw the thumb. Fantastic work, especially the texturing and lighting. It's like I could just step right into this. Awesome :-)

You have proved the point very effectively Stefano! I found the thread very interesting and informative. I like the shrub in the tub and the blue glass cat most of all!
