Description

A 280 Degree Panorama of the village Neumagen-Dhron on the river Mosel. Neumagen-Dhron is the oldest town with vine in Germany. Once it was the summer residence of the roman emperor Constantin and it's known as the "Rheinisches Pergamon". There are a lot of wine-growners in Neumagen-Dhron. The graceful river Mosel is with 545 kilometres one of the longest tributaries of the river Rhine. The name Mosella was given her by the Romans. It rises at the Col of Bussang in the south Vogesen (France). The most wonderful part of the valley is situated between Trier and Koblenz. There are a lot of meanders between Hunsrueck and Eifel till Koblenz. The different pictures of the countryside between Trier and Bernkastel are characterized by a lot of castles, old towns and villages in valleys with vine slopes. You can find Neumagen-Dhron in this area. It is situated between Trittenheim and Piesport. An amazing panorama of beautiful countryside. I see a heart on the hillside in the upper left. Looks like the grapes vines were planted in that pattern. Do you know why it was done that way?
