Nice model. Looks just like a restored artifact in a museum.

Nice image. Just a couple of observations: The 17th Century saw the use of the wheelock or matchlock firing mechanism, as on the early arcquebus-style weapon, the flintlock and pan didn't become popular until the early 18th century. Try rendering this with either the wheelock or matchlock mechanism, I think it would appear more gruesome and unrefined a weapon compared with the later finess look of a flintlock. I like the rough casting look of your metal surfaces, makes it appear to be a low cost, mass produced weapon for the troops. The wood texture is good, but needs some weathering and aging, say some hand oil staining or wear where the weapon was grasped and maybe a couple of aged gouges in the wood, as if the weapon once fired became a wepon to fend of others' attacks.

Beautiful model. Excellent lighting too. The wood does look a bit too new though.

I'm inclined to agree with Fit on this one... the thing is beautiful, but it doesn't quite fit the era, and the wood could use a little againg... great work though...
