Goldilocks Tries Hairpainting Credits: V3J by dalinise Daz Cyclorama & Global Complex Lights II Postwork by me Does she look like Mariah ? Here are the steps: 1. Started drawing in the outline. 2. Then added a new layer with a more defined outline. 3. Decreased the brush size & painting in another layer with finer details. 4. Filled in the gaps with another colour but used a separate layer & brought it to the bottom of the hair layers. 5. I merged all the hair layers together & used alot of dodge, burn & smudge in Photoshop. Erased parts I didn't like. 6. I then duplicated that & the top layer I changed it to "Multiply" so that the colours stood out more. Then decreased the opacity of that layer and adjusted it till I found a reasonable hue. using just a bald head under the hair layer, I erased the parts of the hair that covered parts of the face. 7. The Final image I concentrated on details, pulled out the tiny hairs but used a size 3 brush. I tried to avoid using "Burn" tool. Instead used a brown paint set to a very low opacity - 3%-5% to darken areas. Lastly added shadows to the model - face, neck & shoulders where appropriate.

Good work. But you forgot giving the face some shading from all that hair. A little more hair on her rigth forehead and she is superb :) Take care.

Thanks veryone! I took the advice and added hair shadows (partly through using Mystical Lighting and partly using the Burn tool in Photoshop). I also added the thumbnail :-)
