Description

*Do not fear death so much, but rather the inadequate life.* Bertolt Brecht ---------------- Taken with a Canon IXUS 400 no postwork. ------------------ This was taken in the Monumental Cemetery of Parabita (Lecce, Italy) during my Gallipoli holiday weekend at the start of this May. That cemetery is in itself a gem to see(that I portraited also in another picture of mine in this gallery this past September) so I love to shot pics in there. When I got this one, I was fairly pleased, and so I wanna share it for suggestin you some thoughts to ponder for today :) The "model" (who doesn't know actually about this :P, as I try to capture real life in motion) is Stef ;) Enjoy.

Indeed, the steps between life and death can be measured at times. His body seems to be keenly aware that he's not alone in the place. You took the picture at just the right moment. Great study.

Thank you Ed (and everyone else, of course) for having perfectly understood the reasons of this picture. You can read the images perfectly my friend. I am glad the message of this one was greatly decoded, as it's not one of the usual eye candies that are easy to write under, I know :)

It's impressive how you treat the photography with the same rich imagination you have for times when you paint or sketch. I am lookin forward to your developing in this field. I will bash you whenever you will do a filtering.. but I know u won't ever betray the spirit of this gallery, nor the wise words that are written in the banner that explains what is this gallery for.Go girl, you have style with cameras too! :=)

E' bello che ci sia anche la fotografia adesso, tra le tue passioni.Tu riesci a dare profondite senso ad ogni cosa.In questo ritratto,c'tutta la tua carica filosofica. Sono ansioso di vedere dove ci porterai.

I will repeat my own words: though you still to be a no one in photography, your real will to learn worthy things of it is evident alone by the subject you portray. No eye candies, but deep images with sense.I am lookin forward all you're gonna make with cameras.

Humm? But now I wonder. Which is the most dignifying dying place? And the less appropriate type of life. Graveyards are the best place for some people to wonder.
