Description

The Art of Boolean (Part XXIX) Final render! The image you see is the final render showing the USS Constellation looking down or maybe looking up at the communication main dish. Sense there is no up or down, left or right in space just, what is relative to your point of view where you are located at that time, you decide. The image was created in Bryce5 from scratch, all concepts and designs by me. The starfield was created in Universe, no other postwork. Thanks again for viewing and commenting on my work. David ;-)

Me first, top-work as usual.

One question, how much memory do you have in you computer?

Dude.. u must have overread the definition of fine detail.. cuz this has alot of it. Nice shot and render. And for the RobertJ guy.. this doesn't take much memory too render.. its just white light with a black starry background.. prolly about 30 minutes tops for this image - James

ah, so you can get Universe to be a backdrop for Bryce..will have to start experimenting, and thanks for the tip. Excellent stuff, BTW.

Thanks everyone for the comments, as for how much ram I have RobertJ, the image was rendered on a P4 3.2 GHz machine with 1 Gig of DDR 400 Ram and an ATI 9700 Pro. Ev3rMOr3, if I were you I would add an extra 72 hours to those 30 minutes. The file size is 90 Megs. I have Bryce set at 144 Ray per pixel, Quality Mode at Premium and Optimization at Aggressive. I do not skimp on quality. David ;-)

David, I don't know how's for the others, but I just look forward to your final renders after your so useful screenshots. This one is stunning in detail and precision, another beautiful space image that shows all your competence and passion. And, whoa, I think it's the first 144rpp render I see... Absolutely excellent work, I vote for it because it deserves it and 'cuz I'd love to see it in the Hot20.

72,5 hours! While working with Bryce, I always thought that something is wrong with my computer or my version of the program is damaged. But now I'm completely calmed down. My good old 1,5Ghz CPU runs like a racecar and everything is fine :-)

Awesome work on this spacecraft, as always! Although, I don't think the word "final" means the same thing to you as it does to the rest of us, I don't mind a bit. Keep cranking them out, it's very inspirational...!
