Description

My first real soft character model, made for the current 'Toy Story' competition. I can see me doing some other images with this little fella, but I thought this test render was quite endearing! :) Cheers!

Nice work Adam, the material you've used looks sort of self-iluminating, It wouldn't happen to use the sub-surface scattering thing-a-mabob would it?? Looks good! - dano

Hey Dano! - thanks, no its just a bhodinut fresnel in the luminance channel - I was concerned that the bear wouldn't stand out enough in the main scene image without being overlit, but it looked unnatural in that - it defintely has it's uses in simpler illustrative compositions though! :)

Hey Adam! The bear looks very cute! I like the fresnel effect it makes it looks very natural this way :). If you need a good fur shader you should try the tennisbal thingy: http://maxon-computer.com/deepshade/shader/shaders/synthetic/269/269.html It looks very good! Cheers, Daan.
