Description

Hi all, I don't usually do space themed images but I thought this one turned out kinda cool. Everything Modeled by me in MAX 4.2. Rendered using Default scanline and no video post. The space station thing was my first attempt at using Greeble. Let me know what you all think...feel free to rip it apart ;-)

Hi KAP. Looks good! I do think the ultra-bright line of the atmosphere of the earth needs to be toned down a tad but it still looks very cool. I like the spacestation alot. -- dano

This blue marble is looking excellent. Maybe the atmosphere is too high, but the whole thing is very well done.

I like the spacestation a lot. Very nice job. The outer space backdrop is a little to grey I think. If it were dark it would provide more contrast. And the surface of the earth a little dark, but other than that, excellent.

you know what. You all are....correct...the atmosphere line is a bit too bright. I guess thats what happens when you work on something for too long, you lose your objectivity. I'll take a look at fixing it and see about reposting (besides, I tweeked the space station a bit too) Thanks for all the wonderful comments!

Hi KAP! If you tone down the atmos line I wouldn't do it much. Looks fine as it is to me. This is one of the best Earth renders I've ever seen! I agree with billy that the backdrop is a little grey, and also you could add some lights from the cities in the shadowed area. You can see these from space. I have a link to satelite pics from space if you want?

Hah, if it weren't for this picture I'd probably never heard of greeble, and now I just can't live without it. XD Of course, great picture too!
