Description

Omar, 19. One night, two years ago, THEY raided his village. In the bombing, Omar lost his aunt, his three year old cousin and his younger brother. At dawn the next morning, his dad sent him to the mountain pastures with a message for his uncle, a sheperd. Later that morning, THEY arrested Omar on a rocky mountain trail. THEY said he was carrying a message to the rebels. Two years have passed... Time is now Place is Camp X-Ray, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. THEY... are the United States Government. With no hope for a trial, no way to contact a lawyer, or to reach his family members, tomorrow, on his 20th birthday, Omar will hang himself. But who really cares ?.... *** DAZ Mike with DAZ Dariusz texture. Background and Render in Bryce 5 Postwork in PS7

Excellent work, well placed lighting, exposing just enough of the background characters while bringing attention to the main focus. I think your text helps to give more impact to the art. No matter what side of war one stands, there are the innocent who always suffer.

Innocent until proven guilty does not count in trials of suspected terrorists.. Simple as that.. Suspect everyone is the new motto of the military.. Hard to tell who the enemy is when yer at war with terrorists

Great image. You should consider doing paneled comics.

While I don't share your politcal views, this is excellent. The dramatic lighting is what really packs the punch.

Wow, where did you find out all that stuff about Omar? Do you know someone at Gitmo or something? Or will you get silenced by the secret police if you reveal? Wow, your so brave!!!

Thanks, for the beautifully rendered propaganda. We're all better off leaving our national security information to common courts anyway. Hey, isn't better to let some guilty killers go free than ever jail an innocent man.

Regardless of the validity of the specific story, the torture of prisoners in Guantanamo Bay is a reality. Is it necessary? I don't know... Just remember that torture, lies and misinformation, and the propagation of fear are terrorist tools, regardless of their justification. Great work!
