Wish I had that kind of modeling ability. Nice work. As usual, the lighting is awesome. I think I'm going to try out a scene like that myself just to see if I can do it. :)

2Phlegm: Read the text! It is not supposed to be the focus of this image ;) 2apple: Yes! Those are small ballistic strap-on shields. The german KSK uses such shields for example. There are abour two different sizes. The smallest only protect the arm, the bigger ones (like those shown) provide additional protection for the torso. The big advantage is, that you can still fire a two-handed weapon without problems. Shields like that are also usefull as close combat defense.
