Description

Observant viewers will note that this is a single color printer. Ink chemistry is really the key to this printer. The ink must not dry on the roller and must be absorbed by the skin to dry. The pigments and compounds used therefore must be carefully formulated from the FDA approved list of food coloring and cosmetic ingredients. Pending further research on approved pigments closest to CMYK, Jetson hopes to come out with a color version.

For the limited print head travel, the print head is driven by a rotating arm. The arm is slotted at the print head end where it engages a pin on the print head. The slot in effect adjusts the radius of the arm so the head motion is linear.

The spline used to couple to the applicator unit does double duty. It aligns the print cylinder to the print head as well as rotating it. The sliding eject button makes uncoupling the applicator easier.

Comments and critique on the design and the render are most welcome.

Thanks tgn, yes I notice that the print head guides look bad. It is supposed to be shiney chrome looking but guess my render settings are not right looks like they need antialiasing but got that set at "best". On the power switch, think I got too much smoothing.
