Description

Long time no seen.. or whatever the old phrase says. It's been a while since I uploaded anything here on Renderosity. Busy studying. But here I am again and I hope you make some comments. Hopefully about the picture and not about how sorry you are that I am still alive =) See you around!

This is very good nice composing. If you have the time, you might enjoy experimenting with the materials. The stream texture is fairly reflective at all angles, which isn't a characteristic of water-- it has a milky quality (I have seen streams that look a bit like this, actually-- if they've got mining runoff in them) For a more typical water effect, use a falloff map for recflectance (with some noise for the ripples) and then you'll have water which is variably transparent/reflective (a good stream bottom texture will be needed, since it will be seen). This is called the "Fresnel effect", if you're interested in exploring it more. http://www.3drender.com/glossary/fresneleffect.htm
