Description

Photo of a Rock skipping on the Water by a beach at Priest Point Park here in Olympia, WA. I did not throw the Rock, but happened to come across a couple of Happy Rock Skippers who were cool enough, and helped out with this photo as I instructed. They did a good job here, the Rocks are not too flat, actually somewhat spherical of shape in most cases, and it takes a great skill to skip such a Rock as this. It is possible though as this photo demonstrates, just takes a alot of spin action, angle of trajectory, and enough forward momentum. Basically skill. Actually it is not too hard, even I could skip a few, but these Rocks only skip a few times is all due to the shape of not exactly very flat like a good Rock for this sort of Action of skipping. Taken with 35mm 400 B&W Film, I scanned it in color mode to retain the original looks as pretty much close as possible. Even though this is B&W, it retained a bit of green tint(very little in this one, but I do detect a hint of it). Maybe it is just how it is processed at the One Hour Photo Lab at local drug store. Typically this sort of film is processed as normal color film, I know this much. I kind of like the green tint though, so I left it alone. Post work with HP Photo Editor: sharpen, contrast, resize. Thanks for looking, -Peace :-)

I once used an Old Uncle's Priceless Coin Collection to "skip" the Lake (I could Skip 5 times) after My Uncle tried to twist My Ear off for Punishment...He then scoured the Lake with Snorkel & Goggles, in a vain attempt to recover His Collection...You have stirred in Me...just what a bad wee Boy, I used to be....but, I wuz a First Class Skipper!
