Description

AR 18 carbine. This is my first try at a real rough looking object using textures. All my stuff always looks too clean and not real. I'm very happy with the results! Rendered in Flammingo. I used some bitmaps from texturesbytuesday as the basis for my textures. Thanks for looking, comments and tips very welcome.

you can collapse stack, select top/bottom faces, leave selected, apply uvw mapping, so you can go around those planar mapping artivact seen on top/front survaces. also, you can use box mapping.

looks great, I use loads of spot lights and one high ambient yellow light, and you can make up some really rough textures in photoshop etc. It all helps make stuff look better I find, but this is still pretty good looking. How about some AK47 wood textures?
