In the promising anything goes streets of Neo-Tokyo around the middle of the 21st century, I found myself entangled in the US battles of the Sino-Asian War. Or more appropriately, I got sucked into the spygame that played out behind the front lines. After Spitfire got accused of leaking the Broadsword plans to Golden Crescent spies, she began to feed me info of those in the Neo-Tokyo underworld that might be of use to me. One of those, one of the most notorious, was a madame from Bangkok. I never suspected how much power she really had, but I had no choice but to meet with her. So I left James Dhalgren in New LA, fueled up Scorpion VII, and showed up in Neo-Tokyo as Sandman. Spitfire made the arrangements. I was to meet the new contact on the eighteenth floor of the Neo-Tokyo Hilton. No one knew her real name, and in a world where cyber ident were more important than birth records, no one was about to ask. They simply called her the Dragon Lady. If I'd only known then how much of that identity was true and not simply ego, I would have gone more prepared. I had reason to suspect some connection between her and the Black Queen. I was wrong. It would have been easier though if she had been the Black Queen herself.
