"We're supposed to fly today. You know, patrol? Our job?" Jareal glowered as the dragon let out a pitiful moan. "Well, you see," Ranjeen began, trying to peer around his claw to see if it was working, "I'm not feeling too good. Oh, oh... I feel a thorn attack coming on, man. And this weather makes my wings ache...." "The weather is perfect, you big faker," the elf scowled. "Besides, I just ate, and you aren't supposed to fly for at least three days," the dragon continued without missing a beat. "Anyway, don't you have other things to do?" "Yes. Fly patrol!" Ranjeen immediately resumed the theatrical moaning. Why couldn't the man just go away and let him sleep? * * * * * I apologize for the totally crappy resolution and the gaudy watermark placed at the client's request, but right now it's the only way I can fight back.
