Description
Flappers, Prohibition, The Charleston, Bootlegging, The Right to Vote, The Roaring 20's. This was the age of the first youth rebellion. World War I was over and the world had changed dramatically. The term "flappers" had been coined because the girls wore their galoushes with the buckles unfastened so they "flap-flapped" as they walked.
I have a weakness for costume jewelry from the 1920's-1940's. The necklace was modeled after one of my favorite pieces. (circa 1920's)
I set up families for the different pieces, each drop, the center, the neck chains, then I linked the pieces. All was good, (or so I thought). Mistake #1-I had linked each piece separately, which made setting it up a little difficult-not to worry. I had saved progressively so I went back to an earlier version. My idea was to set up groups, then link the groups. BUT-I had to unlink everything first. I got my groups set up and everything linked, but then I ran into another problem-the center of rotation was in the middle of the group (which is not how I wanted them to rotate). No problem-just move the origin handle. But to do that I had to once again unlink everything and re-link them when finished. Another problem I had was when I assigned families, I made the mistake of giving one of the groups the color yellow, which was fine until I added lights (which come into the scene with the color yellow assigned). But, eventually, I got all of it sorted out.
