Description

My appologies for all the reposts of this scene, but after putting down a lot of effort on the modeling & texturing, and hearing all your excellent suggestions, I wanted to improve it as much as possible. The lilly pads are my own scans that I had to bathe a bit for to get a few good specimens. I used Translucency Pro v1.1 for simulating SSS and this time I used GI and HDRI lighting with probes from the DOSCH Design HDRI: Nature pack. Texture painted in Bodypaint, modeled and rendered in Cinema 4D R8.1. Thanks for viewing!

Is (s)he rigged? I'd love to animate him bouncing from pad to pad, maybe missing the last pad?

Nice render/model/scene.

That's a nice frog you have there! I really like the translucency effect, it makes it look incredibly realistic! That's a plugin I am really considering to buy... If you'r interested, I made a frog too! Join the club :)

Thanks everyone! Denb, I haven't ventured into animations yet, but it would be fun to rig it and do a simple animation. I might do that later =)

Where's the 3D scene? All I see is a photograph of a frog on a leaf! ;) Excellent work.

very nice image, great texture work on this. But i think the shadows underneath the leaves are a little to heavy, its allmost black...but hey, its a fantastic little froggie :) P.S - does he bite?
