Description

I recently took a trip to Vancouver to see Pearl Jam. After the concert (which kicked ass by the way) and the bar I decided to venture out at 4am in the sketchy neighbourhood of Hastings to take a few shots. It was a bad idea but I don't regret it. I wasn't in my right mind at the time and should have been asleep. My tripod served as a very useful weapon to fend off the crackheads who looked at my camera as a means to put....well... crack on the table. Vancouver is ridiculously gorgeous and I wish I had more shots than this one from a seedy neighbourhood. I will go back soon.

Must be close to a 360 degrees view ! Now we all know ! Never go to Vancouvert without a tripod ! ;-) If this can reassure you, this picture was worth fighting ! Thanks !

it's so melancholic, to my eyes, but that kind of "good" melancholy, the one that comes after you've lived a great day and you'd love that feeling to never end. Beautiful lights that perfectly match the brown, and sand colours of the city sight. Oh, and of course Eddie rocks ;)

A magnificent night shot. Yes, a sea of lights. And it is breathtaking. Be careful. We want to see more of your photo work.

I love the colours in this, and the overcast, light polluted sky... it gives the picture a futuristic Blade Runner kind of tint to it... perhaps I'm biased because this is far more like my own home town than your usual pictures. I'm glad you managed to hold on to your camera, also!

How much I miss Vancouver! I spent 3 years working there, living on the North Shore (Lynn Valley and Mountain Highway, for those who know the place)and then close to that building with the two little red lights on the righthand on the shot. And this city is great, one of the best places to live. Excellent photo...
