This is a shelf I bought and painted for my girlfriend's collection of Simpsons stuff. It has some Springfieldians on one side and Simpsons-style portraits of our families on the other. I painted it with watercolours and then coated in varathane. Some postwork has been done with Corel Photo-Paint to fix up the digital photographs and to disguise our families' names. This was definitely a learning experience. I had a little trouble with the varathane, you may notice some bleeding in areas and the photographs didn't turn out quite right. I'm definitely not used to working without the computer! But it's still pretty cute and I must have spent 20 hours on it so I wanted to post it.
