I don't know where it 'went wrong'...she looks like she's been crying and has smeared her makeup...I think the texture would work, depending on what you're looking for...

I kinda like it anyway, if it was a gone wrong texture. Almost looks like a very powerful emotional character lurking in there somewhere.

It looks very nice for a member of the reject bin. maybe she is just sad to be kicked aside so easily :p

I don't think it went wrong at all, the texture looks wonderful to me. :) I like the floating head series so far, more more!

Hmmm Maybe I should have phrased that differently. The texture is still a WIP just the render itself seemed to have gone in a direction different than I had started I suppose. ^__^

One thing I've found is that sometimes the technically perfect misses the mark when it comes to capturing a mood a feeling. What I really like about your image is the captuing of that feeling of angst, of not quite fitting in. I think your portrait really works on that level...Nice work! -jay

This would make a great anti-drug poster. It really gets to me. You can see her pain. I think this is very striking. It may have been accidental, but it works for sure.

This is great James. Your artwork is amazing and the lighting is excellent. Dark but beautiful job!!!

Very compelling image. Sometimes the mistakes are the real keepers. She truly seems fragile and in pain, communicating so many things. And those eyes are amazing. CC
