Your ability to grow using light and depth astounds me every day. The wavyness of the hair is outstanding and I am impressed everytime I see your work. You are improving by leaps and bounds my good friend.

I really find the way you created a spot-light effect on this gentleman's portrait to be exceptionally appealing as it draws the viewer's attention inward - even overpowering the lovely fancy matte and frame. Did you also hand paint all the tile in the background Cheryl? - if so - my sincerest congratulations on a tedious job excellently accomplished. They do appear as hand drawn because of the intricate pattern inside most - where many of the tiles are slightly different. Your color works just keep improving and you're developing a style that's uniquely you - and that's excellent! A vote from me young lady!
