Description
This is one of the first images I made in Bryce 2 way back in '97-'98. I thought I would post it here for kicks. I'm not trying to make any statement, I was just curious if I could make a semi-realistic nuclear explosion in Bryce. I can't even open the old Bryce 2 file any more but am considering re-working it now that I have more experience, maybe with a cat or building flying at the viewer, and with more grit and grime. Just a bit of touching up was done in Photoshop.

Well, first of all it's more like the Ion Cannon (which is just THAT much more fun than a nuke), since nukes make mushroom-ish clouds. Secondly, and a bit more serious, it's good, but the top circle thing shouldn't be that transparant. Overall very nice to be one of the first images..

As a surrealistic nuke certainly no apology is needed and no criticism is valid. If you are going to redo it as more realistic perhaps you can save us cat lovers the distress of a dying cat flying towards to observer. How about a tank which would show the power of a nuclear shock waive a lot more realisticly. Whether this was done years ago or last week its still darn good. :-D
