I believe most people are asleep most of the time.Their conversation is about things they can eat, touch or hear. They wake up occasionally. Those awake, live in constant amazement and wonder at the world the Universe and life. Men and women like Moses, Galileo, Newton, Einstein, Stephen Hawking, Michael Angelo, Freud, Men with profound vision.Â
Looking at the stars at night and the sun at sunset I realize that we know nothing of this thing called the Universe. We seem to balance ourselves on the verge of superstition and logic and swing both ways when it suits us. We also seem to have much more opinions on things we no nothing about, than the things we actually studied. It is just so ironic that we spend most of our lives giving advice but hardly follow any. If you find no logic in this, its because there is no logic.    -       Shadow

I actually think no piece that were satisfying at the moment of creation must be deleted. If the creator is tuned on, he knows that those works were explicative of a moment, and the growth and the progresses are actually testified from the comparison among works in time. But I do agree that one has always to try his best. The momentuum of creation though, is an absolute instant of satisfaction. The truth stays in that moment, after that, art is of all those who are gonna make the piece a part of their own. And if you steal the vision to them.. they'll miss something, thatw oudlhave maybe enriched them :) This is a great artwork btw.. very thought provoking :)

As y know I play with words to see what people think. It is not necessarily my viewpoint. No right, no wrong. I watched four Tibetan monks create a 'Mandela' (with colored sand I guess) over four weeks then destroyed it . This is a tradition they follow, that nothing is permanent. All spiritual paths are built on this concept and not even stars last forever. So whether you delete it or not , it will be deleted by the Universe.

It is not just the Tibetan monks who do sand painting, I have seen some beautiful works done by the Navajo American Indians of the American Southwest.

There have been works for me that have changed in nature after being posted - I did not feel at peace until I had removed them - I can't quite explain and still have much to learn - But there is some truth of me I understand here - I only speak for me - Your Art is an experience -

Art is always an experience.. As its a creative process and thus may stand the test of time in ones own minds eye. I never get to the stage of finishing anything unless there is something about it that I like.. Our silicon dreams are more liable to disappear into the sands of time than Paint on Canvas..
