Great use of Atmospheric Perspective...(how the land seems to fade, soften and change color as distance increases from the viewer) One observation, having spent many years at sea, one thing I have noticed about the sun coming through the clouds: on the ocean surface where a beam strikes the water, large patches of sun are seen. Also, you need to show the reflectivity near the horizon where the water meets the sky, in fact, blur the horizon a bit. The overcast day would make the water less blue toward the horizon line. (similar to what you did for the receding coastline) And maybe roughen the water, just a little, nothing major and show a suggestion of some whitecaps.
