it's good architecture. The mat on the castle works, but don't be afraid to search the web for Brick or Stone textures, that may give a sense of scale to the walls..and more realism (I should know, I've run into the same problem when I did a castle..;) Maybe thicken the walls slightly, and bring down the staircase farther, but I'm sure you've already got plans in mind. Keep at it, it looks like it will come out well.

I very much agree and I was thinking the same thing even from the button. Remember that a real castle is pieced together by stone. Since it wouldn't be time efficiant to model thousands of stones and puzzle them into a castle... you have to create that illusion using a stronger stone brick texture with more depth and bump. As pakled said the modeling itself is good... I'd also suggest giving this image more contrast even if you do it in postwork. Keep it up, you said this is an unfinished project so I look forward to the final :D.

Agree with the above.. The POV is killer as well. To add contrast, make sure you have Gamma Correction in Bryce set to OFF. It will help add color depth. You may want to check out: http://www.mayang.com/textures/ for some brick/rock textures. Looking good.

Hello, look intersting - your own island :) the textures could be a little bit better - just have a try or more tries - try out differenst skies with different lights: Light and Shadows also could have important influence on the scenery. And then at least: the castle look so lonely: where are some people? some brave soldiers? thanks anyway, david.
