Description

Barby, when are we gonna go to the seaside?(When I fix the car, obviously...just kidding:)This one's for junkyard anyway) I did this one just for fun, although it took me the longest of all of my projects to complete. Modelled in max 4.2, textures and post in Photoshop. The Yugo model is, of course, mine..who else would wanna make it? Death of Yugo..?well, you can still see them around here, but maybe I didn't mean the car...It's not easy to get it if you're not from somewhere near me, but thanks for the views and all...

I wouldn't know where to begin when modelling a car, do you use nurbs surfaces? Anyway, great atmosphere, cool image! :)

Fantastic texturing work mali!! Especially the chipped paintwork and the bricks! I don't want to nit-pick cus I can tell you've spent a lot of time and worked really hard on this, and the effort shows, but the only things that bother me are the tyres. Perhaps they need to be a little more detailed and darker. Also the paint can. The paint coming out of it looks good, but there doesn't appear to be any paint in it. I think if there was a shallow bit of paint left in there, being held back by the rim of the can it would look better. Everything else is perfect! Hope your proud of yourself! :o)

Its really great. . .everything except the spilled paint, which doesn't look right. But that is a tiny, tiny quibble. Its photographic. . .the texturing is excellent, and the wear is located very precisely.

You're so kind! Especially the crits, MBaker..yeah I kinda am proud, but only after reading your kind comments:)I know about the tyre material, I never get them right..any advice?;)I was thinking of putting the paint can under the car, where the grate is, but I thought that it wouldn't be seen at all..Textures..thanks, I guess I am getting better with those, too..I even spent too much time on some, 'coz you can't even see them, like the cans, the dirt on the windows, but it all adds to realism anyway..Nurbs surfaces?..No, sir..Poly and box modelling all the way. I used to sit on the tiny back seat of my mom's Yugo for about ten years(felt like Shaq in a normal car:) so I did much by memory...Thanks!

Very realistic... I like all those little details like calender, paint cans, fan... Textures are top-notch... Only that licence plate(holes, stripes). But all in all, excellent Vobra Lima! :)
