I think it's a phenomenal image. The only thing that bothers me, and it's a bit nitpicky, is that back wall. It's a bit too....well...shiney and new looking. For ruins, I would love to see it a bit more whethered.

I remember the original Dot, I remeber the tiled look the texture had on the ground.. This is far superior, a well worthwhile revisited :).
