This is very nice modelling, and feels like a south facing Bavarian house-- someplace in die Berge, sud von Munchen (sorry, my German is atrocious). I really like the wooden balustrades, the landscaping, the reflection in the second story windows. Also the downspout is a very convincing detail that gets out of a lot of models. To make it better? Better textures. The grass, in particular, is very uniformly green. . .real grass is a mix of grass and dirt, with something of a falloff (depending on the angle, you see more grass or more dirt). Some fallen leaves, a muddy patch, some mold on the garage wall, some rust from the downspout bleeding onto the wall. I never use a "pure" texture for anything natural. . .look at any "real world" texture, and its a mix-- cracks, dirt, and so on. The eye is very quick to catch things that are too perfect Skymap. The sky texture looks stretched-- is this a photo dropped into the environment slot? Another technique is to spherically distort such a photo in Photoshop, and then apply to a skydome-- this will produce an "unstretched" photo. Sharp edges-- the modelling looks too "sharp"-- the corners of a stucco'd house are beveled and soft --using a chamfer box instead of a box primitive will do this. . .or in your existing model, applying a meshsmooth modifier to the edge vertices (only) This sounds like a lot of criticism, but its a very good model-- very detailed, and with a lot of interesting ideas. Its worth putting the best textures on it and seeing what they do.
