Description

The incredible model of the castle was the starting point of this image. The building is "George's Fairytale Castle" by "zippy" in the Poser freestuff - thank you so much! ******** Vue 4 with some imported objects (freestuff from various sources), foliage textures by me. 2 lights (the sun and a blue point light behind the camera for "ambience effect"). Rendered in "Ultra" - colour correction etc. in Photoshop. I had some problems with the atmosphere, it seems Vue doesn't handle "distance and haze" too well, it has a tendency to make e.g. distant mountains look white and almost glowing. Figured it out though, IMHO. ******** UPDATE: I decided to adjust the hue/saturation etc. in order to enhance the fantasy-style already present. (The original version had more saturated, bright colours). ******** Thanks for looking, comments appreciated.

Nice work. I like the effect you did get in the background. For me it brings the castle out in a subtle way, but gives it just the right touch for realism. Great job!

Great job here; I like the path, and the "woodsy" feel to the front of the image. I think the haze is what makes the mountains white in some atmospheres...drives me nuts too, lol!
