Description

Hi to everybody ! This is another variation on Alien's City theme. Now it is finished. Final render was at 2600 x 6109. This is 25% size of original, almost no postprocessing. Now, I can proudly say, that all objects for this scene were modeled by me. Some in Cinema 6 others in Vue and X-Frog, then all textured in Vue. Initialy I've used 3 third part objects: One distant background building block from : Axeman's Moebius' city blocks (By the way, did anyone knows what has happened to Axeman's site ? www.axeman3d.co.uk And two retextured cylindrical building from The Force Net: http://scifi3d.theforce.net/details.asp?intGenreID=10&intCatID=14&key=174 But now, I have made my own versions of those objects so this scene is my own 100% creation from scratch :-))) PS. I Invite you to visit e-on site, there is my new "SPOTLIGHT" :-)) http://www.e-onsoftware.com/Community/Spotlight.php?Page=1 Hope you

Now this is what I like better ... here I have a good few of the city. The shallow water in the foreground is very nice too. You really have pictures with a story behind it ! Excellent work of art !

Incredible work in every way! your model work is most excellent, as is your terrain and atmosphere. The many little subtle details such as the waves breaking in the shallows of the shore, and the underwater sand dunes are what make me want to look at this again and again!

as an architect, Robert, I can say I love the 3-legged building in the mid-ground - I've not seen much like that. All your buildings are symetrical... did you know that? But I also love the hangar building in the foreground- really nice...are you sure you don't have some architectural design training? IF not - Don't get any, it will probably just spoil your creativity! Keep going, man! by the way some sort of local animals in the forground playing near or in the water would be a cool addition... would soften/liven it a bit... or people or humanoids or something walking around that ship in the hangar in the foreground would give it some needed scale for reference. any tips on getting this kind of lighting? Any tips on good settings to use for pre-lim and final render settings when trying to create something like this?
