--- this is an architecture ilustration which i did many a few years ago - dont know if anyone like such stuff but i thought i show it - i did the construktion and render of the house in a programm called extreme 3d, this was included in the freehand grafic studio, think the programm doesnt exist anymore, but i liked it very much becaus it worked very well together with freehand 3, so it was very easily for me to create 3d architecture by using a programm like freehand wich i could handle. - god, how easy it is today doing such things, and how fast, lets see what the future brings, fantastic tools the computers --- --- well, enough words --- --- comments are welcome ---

its a great image. I remember the extreme 3D program-- this was a suite from Macromedia, and it all tied together with Freehand. This is a great teaching image, it illustrates how much you gain from a good texture -- the background photo. Simply compositing a nicely made model into an appopriate photo background is worth as much as many hours of modelling. While I like Vue d'Esprit and Terragen, the complexity of the landscape background here is simply much higher than most applications generate, and therefore more interesting. If I were rendering this model today, I'd try to have a little more of the ambient sky and grass color "bleeding" onto the house-- it looks as though lit by very "clean" white light. Extra points for the very subtle reflection of the roofline in the stream!!!! And for the way a few blades of grass lay over the wooden deck! These are the kind of small details that get overlooked, most of the time, but which add SO much to the verisimilitude of the image
