I really dislike how so many people think a lot of photos these days are Photoshopped. Like my fake ghost photos for example. Most are in camera exposures, in all honestly they’re just long exposure that range from 4 to 16 seconds. The editing is normally, crop, sharpen, levels, darken corners of image and apply scratches with stock photos. That’s about all I do unless I make it a B&W then I add a tint. Most of my editing takes about 20 minutes on average per image.

it's truly an xzllent image to bring awareness to the most serious of topics! your thoughtful consideration to the suggestions offered shows what is so wonderful about our community -IMHO imagery is not all about razor sharp images-

well, depression is a disease u know... is not that easy to battle it just by "will"...But definitely as you write, to try to comfort and give positive vibes can help, and it should moreover.A thoughtful message, though the image is as dark as it's possible to be...

I like this alot.. like the shape of it and the dark feel despite of the yellow..

Cool work mate I know of way too many people both close to me and no so close who seem to think that the end is THE EASY WAY OUT and all it does is when they take matters into their own hands and end their lives is cause pain to others around them ...the ones they leave behind the friends and loved ones who would have giving all to help if only they had asked... This image touches a nerve close to my heart as a very close friend of mine ended his life and I still feel bad about it even though it was 10 years ago... I like this image and the concept that It represents and applaud you for placing it up in the gallery :) GREAT STUFF KEEP IT UP MATE

There's always something worth living for, though we have to recognise that depression is an illness, not a weakness. Great pic, even greater sentiment.

I agree infra! Not enough people really appreciate life....sure it has its twists and turns, but how will they ever know what is next if they end it before their time? Never give up on the only solid thing we have!! Cheers

WOW! A serious subject matter, and handled very expertly! I can't help but visualize the word "yes" placed somewhere above the skull. Love the way you have integrated all the visual elements into one image.

Churchill described his depression as "a little black dog that follows me everywhere". Unless you have or had depression, you can't know what it's like. There's nothing worse for someone with depression to be told by someone "pull yourself together", because it ISN'T that easy. All kinds of people, from all kinds of backgrounds both wealthy and not, can get depression. It can take hold anytime and remain for decades. One or more events can trigger it off, but often it seems spontaneous and random. Phsyical, measureable changes occur within the brain of a depressive, showing that it isn't just the effects of a "bad day at the office". Tackling it takes time, and effort, and ultimately a will to live.

Strong image and very poignant words. I've felt this way myself and I know how deep one can go into their hole, but friends do help, even ones you don't know...Great image...

I myself live just this day and have no plans or dreams for the future, I don't know what is my place in this great world. Maybe there isn't even need to that. Excellent for art and message.
