Description


This is a 3D DLA (Diffusion Limited Aggregation) system which I grew using self written software. The final render was done using PovRay. Hopefully it looks a bit like some coral..

Fascinating! Are the building blocks spherical? I like this!

It's a diffusion limited aggregation system grown in 3D. The blocks are indeed spherical. In the final render they are also made from shiny glass, just to make the render take upwards of 6hrs. :) Google for diffusion limited aggregation if you want to know more of the details of how they are grown.
