I'm a novice artist when it comes to digital art, but my skills are developing with photography and 2D...I'll post more stuff as I improve. I'm a college freshman at art school, majoring in graphic design with an emphasis in web/publication design and a hobby interest in digital and film photography.
Edit: Just discovered that I uploaded the very large photo of me...I have corrected that, sorry!

Very beautiful scene, well done! Great atmosphere and i like the stones and the water .. With the colors and lighting you could try to take more sunlight and less ambient light .. but i am still learning too ;)

We are all still learning Nightiris, some of the things we do are great, some suck :P. But we keep trying nevertheless. This pic I really like, and I think you sell yourself short about its depth and flatness. Margit's idea of dropping from ambient light to sunlight should indeed give you more of a soft and subtle look. Also mess around a little with the haze settings. If you set the colour of the haze to black, your mountains will be comlete silouhettes; likewise if its grey they will take on that colour etc... This is always something that needs to be tweaked a little. Also try changing the water to a mirror with a bumpmap, this often adds a very high quality to this sort of image... Hope this helps, Kutter
