BIO
Since 1993 the Dutch couple, Willem and Madeleine, have been working together in different fields of the arts and chose Hyperborea, as their professional name.
Being sculptors by trade, they have created a substantial collection of stone and bronze sculptures.
They've discovered the realm of computer graphics and this resulted in a large number of 3D renderings of alien landscapes inhabited with graceful life forms.
Most recently they have been working together on various projects in which they combine their sculptures, 3D artworks and original electronic ambient music into multi-media presentations.
Living in the south of The Netherlands, they have their own gallery and sculpture garden where visitors can experience their work.

Come my children, unto me. I know the paths of mystery. Myriad wonders to you will be shown. Of things left unsaid and best left unknown.

When I view your images, I am often reminded of Neolithic Standing Stones (dolmens, henges, and circles) that are found in Great Britain and most of northern Europe. Those stones show us their great age (about 3,500 years to 7,000 years old), and also speak to us across that enormous passage of time. This gallery image evokes the feeling of "The Standing Stones of Stenness", Standing Stones and Henge, Mainland, Orkney Islands, Scotland.
