I am relatively new to max and am currently trying to understand mapping and textures here is is the result of my first opacity map. comments are much appreciated

Not sure exactly what to comment on.. lol It's so photoreal, I'm wondering what, if anything, you actually did! [I am not accusing you of cheating!] I guess the only thing that catches my eye [to really remark upon] is that the leaf stem appears to be too flat on the wood.. No shadow [and it looks like it should be sticking up, which may cause something more of a shadow].. As far as a texture study, this is absolutely MAGNIFICENT! Amazing...

This is amazing. I am quite new to 3D max, and am getting to grips with box modelling and some simple animations, I really can get the hang of textruing very well ath the moment, maybe its just I enjoy modelling a lot more :D
