Description

Photoshop 7.0, no title, no sense, no idea, just a desire to make something new in the field of design...
It always seems to me to be so complicated a task to make some nice looking design. Gabriele's (gab-mag) earlier works impressed me greatly. But I haven't succeeded in composing such outstanding designs. The results of my first try in that direction is the composition You see. Your constructive criticism and comments are welcome!

Dear Anthony, first of all thanks for your compliments, but believe me, there's nothing special in my gallery, for sure! About your experimenting in design, also if there's someone who could surely explain better techniques than me, I can suggest you four simple points to follow:

Start with something that could inspire you (photo, portrait, cool objects, etc...)
Create your work with less colours as possible, not too strong, but you can use variations as well, and greys that are always cool.
Add some simple geometric element, like shapes, typo, or something that could complete your work without be invasive.
Watch your picture mirrored or rotate, lots of times: this could help very well to understand if there's something wrong. Same as life,: watch the world under different points of view! :-))))

BTW, to me it's a good beginning, and I'm sure you can improve fast: I'm amazed when I watch what you're doing with drawings, for example. :-) Keep the great work! Gab

I love the fact that you are one of those have an endless will to experiment and try new tasks dear :) I am sure along Gabry's works and words you will soon reach a total status in design too, just like you did with pencils earlier :) This is cute , very cute already :)
