Description

Well shit goes like this... the only project that i actually spent more than 2 minutes on.... interesting for me cause i have an attention span of a piss ant.... anyway the story goes as this... DownwrdSpiral and I are doing this scene.... we are tring to make it as photo real as possible.... so what we have here is 6 pics of the progress of the room..... models both by him and I.... well anyway the scene is really hard to do considering neither of us know wtf we are doing.... but all and all I think its going really good..... Tech Note: Made in: 3ds max 5 Rendered in: vray Models by: DownwrdSpiral and myself Material by: Myself Room Layout: my own design this scene will be done I hope soon... but I read on another post here that u can never tweak enough shit on a model no matter how perfect it was.... so in that said... I will never be done wit this.... we will also be doing a kitchen scene after this one... then maybe a whole house..... Anyway thanx for comments and Crit... and ya u can crit... tell me what u really think.... will help me get better at the "PHOTOREALISM" part P.S. and ahh ya that is me and my family... I dont believe u should put more 3d shit into a 3d pic.. when u try a scene like this....

Well it smaking me think about designing my own room, and seeing how I could change it!! I liek how its coming out man. A coupel of things. I was about to say to do a few changes but then i saw teh last 2 images loading, and i pissedmy pants, dude i Love it. Just one thign mak ethat staue thingy smaller, loosk to big and buly to be realsitically lifted by a human. To me it looks to heavy for anyone to move it. Also chairs NEED to be a bit bigger. Caus eif u look at the windows, and that chair human would be kinda small! You should looking into a job as an interior designer!! New career move!!

Nice work man...now, not really a crit or anything but, something to think about...look around any room you can...be it yours, your folks, or even a good housekeeping magazine...what do those have that your room is lacking??? for 1. "people stuff"....tv guide on the coffe table...maybe a pair of shoes near the sofa....stuff like that....2. I would say is scale...your windows for instance...the frames seem really "thick" (again this is subjective and its just my opinion) so think about that stuff...also look at textures...yours are scaled correctly and all that stuff but...in "reality" I have rarely seen a wall and ceiling have the same texture...and there would be things like wall switches and stuff...and if you have wall switches then your gonna have to have some "grime" around the switch cuz not everyone has clean hands all the time....look into using the Blend material in the texture editor to add some "dirt" to some of the textures...there are lots of tutorials out there concerning it...and its a must for "reality renders" your lighting is spot on for the room...in any setting you have used...I guess I would just say that you have some modeling/texturing work ahead of you....your off to a really really good start....keep going I'd say this is one of your best attempts so far and your learning alot!!

I agree with others... I think it looks more like a hall for an office or so right now. A bit stiff. It does not look (yet) like a livingroom that peoples live in. For an artwork I also don't think it has very interesting things to look at, like an interesting color-combination, a nice composition, a nice or interesting lightning etc. Table looks a bit too polygon-like to me, could be smoothed. The materials you used for the table and the sculpture in image 4 look very nice to me!
