Description

I would like to dedicate this image to Mr.Vince Silune, a fantastic artist, who gave of his time to help this novice with advice and encouragement to produce this picture and to show my work to wider audience. Thank you very much Vince, hope you approve of the light rays! This is the first post to my gallery on Renderosity with the image being a representation of a somewhat surrealistic approach to chess playing but I hope it's acceptable and welcomed by the community. Please let me know.

I would give dollars for doughnuts to figure out lighting and volumetrics. I either get nothing or a solid white scene. I'll have to corresponde with Mssr. Silune, as he's obviously given you sound advice.

WOW this is an excellent image! I love the mood. Extremely realistic colors and use of textures... And the subject is very original. "I'm definitively craving (^_^) for your next artwork" ! Well, thanks a lot for your dedication but your are the only person in charge for your talent. Your image has attracted very good artists of the R'osity community: it's a proof.

Just a quick note to thank everybody who posted here, I am very thrilled to have received such praise from such elevated artists and to have so many people take a look at 'The Drawing Room'. Encouragement cannot be underestimated and it is with these comments still ringing in my ears that I embark on my next picture. "My opinion of flattery is this: that it may be a very fine thing. I would not say to a man what I don't think. But surely it is humanity, it is benevolence, to hide from a man the faults which he cannot help and to enumerate all the perfections he evidently has" James Boswell 1740-1795 Precisely!

Hey Dennisld, I love this peace of work as it is a combination of both of my loves in art. You are the first person to capture both that I have ever seen here at Renderosity or 3D Commune. This is perfect to me as it would be a wonderful piece to have on my wall in the living room where I could really enjoy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Toenail) Mary and Chere
