This is how I looked 30 or so years ago. I am now 76 yrs. old and still kickin'. Photography is a great hobby and a good business if you are so inclined. The changes in photography are really exciting. It is so much cheaper with digital, and you can do so much more. I remember how excited I was when poloroid came out in black and white. You could actually see your picture in 2 or 3 minutes.

This is an early color photo of the USS Constitution. It was taken originally during World War II. How you can tell is, the built up housing over the main upper deck giving some measure of protection from the weather. The housing was then removed during one of her many refits before and after WWII. Also, the curved Forecastle rails on the front of the bow, or Beakhead were the crew had their Head or toilet, just aft of the figurehead and below the Jibboom mast were taken off and not restored until her 1990s final refit. Also, the upper masts of all 3 masts and the yardarms have been struck down, because she is not readied for sea. If you look closely enough, just past the bow of Constitution, you can make out the colored scroll work of the bow of the dismasted 1850s corvette-class USS Constellation, the last fully pre-steam wooden vessel built by the US Navy, now restored as well. The two old ships were docked together for many years in Boston Harbor.
